Austrian Design – Pleasure & Treasure

Exhibition design

AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA

The idea behind the concept is simple – two spaces, two themes. The first is a dark monumental space that houses a treasure trove of design objects enthroned above a pool filled with gold chocolate coins. The other, flooded with natural light and filled with resplendent furnishings, is transformed into a pool of design objects and invites the visitor to become a child again. While usually exhibition spaces are trying to get the viewer's attention, the main intention of this concept was to create photogenic scenery that promises an experience of joy and playfulness and speaks the most important language of our designworld generation, namely Instagram.
