Aux Magazine
A prison magazine
Public Service Design Practice“Aux” is an educational music magazine designed directly in response to COVID-19 and specifically for the general prison populace. It is currently serving over 2,500 learners every week across seven prisons in the South East. Aux Magazine is built with choice in mind, nurtures relationships, and is driven by music. When I realized that the UK prison population would be spending almost 24 hours a day locked up in their cells because of COVID-19, I knew I had to do something. Aux is a weekly, 44-page, full-color A4 magazine, printed on recycled paper, and delivered via carbon-neutral channels. A magazine that appears to be recreational but is actually educational.
