Non-contact solenoid interlock
The solenoid interlock AZM 200 utilizes a newly developed non-contact safety sensor technology which controls the position of the guard door. The new technology allows for a very compact design; furthermore the sensor is able to compensate larger offset of the guard door. This simplifies the installation of the interlock and increases the availability of the machine. The AZM 200's slim, symmetrical design suits perfectly to the industry-standard 40 and 45 mm aluminum profiles. The slightly rounded housing also accommodates the LEDs indicating the operation status. During the development of this new solenoid interlock, Schmersal's focus was on machines which excel not only with safety and productivity, but also in terms of ergonomy and design.
