Antimicrobial water tap

B-Side is an antimicrobial tap with a soap dispenser designed for communal use. It involves minimal hand contact and takes advantage of copper’s antimicrobial properties so that, when it is touched, it will continuously reduce contamination on its surface. Bacteria do not grow on copper because it is biostatic. Copper-alloy touch surfaces have natural intrinsic properties that destroy microorganisms. Some of them were proven to kill more than 99.9% of all disease-causing bacteria within just two hours. I also made a functioning prototype in PVC. I am currently preparing molds to cast this in copper.
