Interior Architecture

Celebrating the normalization of diplomatic relationship of Korea and Japan, this joint exhibition, BABSANGJIGYO, illuminated the exchange of food culture between the two countries and its changes during the last century. Therefore, we borrowed a design motif from a food hall at a big supermarket, a familiar place in everyday life, and then visitors could view the exhibition as if they were shopping. Also, embodying virtual reality by using IT technologies and reproduction of vintage space with memorable items become catalysts that could extract each individual’s reminiscence and memories into the exhibition hall as a part of exhibition.
