Orangery pot

This orangery pot was designed to be urban furniture, meant to be a link between the city and its inhabitants. It had to be a non invasive object which could be taken over from anyone. The result is a pot equipped with a circular platform designed for multiple uses. 60 strips made of thermaltreated wood are assembled together and attached to a die-cast aluminum base, cut to an angle which allows the rotation of the pot in order to compensate street declivity up to 9 degrees. It also enables its moving via forklifts. Part of the project was also to design a fully bio-degradable pot which seemed to be the logical organic complement of the tree.
