Bamboo Book House
Library
FineLand Construction DevelopmentInspired by the space usage as a community library, the design team came up with the concept of a “bamboo book house”. The lightweight construction techniques and recycled building materials reduced construction waste and produced a structure whose artistry and promise of sustainability are as inviting as the storehouse of knowledge contained within.
iF Gold Statement
This architecture project focused on bamboo as a traditional material and cultural artifact to design a community library. User experience is accomplished through the synergy of lighting, comfortable furnishings, and spatial flow. The building is both remarkable and in harmony with the surroundings. A superb example of how architecture can address issues of community and sustainability.
