Sofa for para sports facility

The Nippon Foundation Para Arena is established as a para sports facility to create a better training environment for para athletes toward the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. The Band Sofa placed at the entrance area in the Arena is designed for ease of use and to motivate the facility users. The seating part is tapered at the base to allow wheelchair users to easily transfer to the sofa, while the tables on the both sides are wheelchair-accessible to make communication easier. Each of the three tables is painted in gold, silver, and bronze to inspire athletes aiming for the podium
