The Bandc Basket redefines everyday storage through a sustainable and distinctly Japanese approach to design. Made from recycled washi-paper bands derived from pulp recovered from milk-carton offcuts, it embodies the idea of “It’s paper, not plastic.” Every detail, from the soft yet strong texture of the paper bands to its clean, minimal form, reflects a commitment to circular design and human well-being. By merging traditional washi craftsmanship with modern simplicity, the basket offers a calm and sustainable alternative to mass-produced plastic storage products.

iF Gold Statement

This basket series brilliantly exemplifies the concept of upcycling. Crafted from repurposed beverage cartons, the baskets combine an expressive form language with flat-pack efficiency and easy assembly. The material innovation and logistical intelligence are particularly impressive.
