In 1978, the first Shimano Bantam 100 baitcasting reel came out packed with Shimano's advanced technologies to get right to the point of bass fishing. The design objective was to carry out the basic actions of cast, control and catch, without a sense of discomfort. The bottom line was to make it "tough" and yet "compact". The new Bantam 100 with "CORESOLID BODY" structure has an extremely tough yet compact body that sits very comfortably in the angler's hands. This 40th-anniversary model is also the next-generation innovation product with the backbone to challenge the frontier of the unknown.
