Bar TOKI

Bar interior architecture design

We wanted to design a space like a single place, set against the backdrop of a satoyama, an original Japanese landscape. A white wall divides the water basin, and inside the wall is an interior space enclosed by glass. The white wall, which is both exterior and interior, blurs the boundary between the exterior and interior, Although the space is only 8 tsubos (8.5 square meters), we aimed to make the environment of the place itself, including the architecture, interior, and landscape, into a bar space.

iF Gold Statement

This interior masterfully integrates landscape, water, and light. Concealed behind a white wall and framed by glass, the balance of contemporary and traditional elements at BarTOKI is exceptional. We love the disciplined minimalism and precise material choices—local stone, glass, and water—crafted into an immersive, almost contemplative space.
