Sustainable Cooling System for Server Racks

COMPAL ELECTRONICS, INC.

BeCOOL is a project that introduces a sustainable cooling system for server racks that operates without refrigerants or fluorocarbons. Using vortex tube technology, compressed air is separated into cold and hot streams. The cold stream provides efficient cooling for servers, while the hot stream is recovered for secondary power generation. This design not only improves server performance but also transforms waste heat into a sustainable resource. It reduces the use of chemical substances and demonstrates how high-tech infrastructure can align with sustainability, paving the way for greener and smarter data centers of the future.
