This is a new type of diaper. It has a honeycomb-structured inner liner, which is breathable and leak-proof. The material of the inner container is a low-cost plant-fiber aerogel which is soluble in water. From the perspective of responsible consumption, conventional diapers are a disaster, releasing plastic particles after being discarded, polluting water and soil. This diaper has two parts, and both are eco-friendly. The outer part is made from natural cotton cloth which is soft, breathable and can be used repeatedly. The inner liner is made from a disposable water-soluble plant-fiber aerogel. Overall, this is a comfortable and sustainable diaper.
This proposal makes a very interesting contribution to waste reduction, addressing one of the most polluting of disposable products: conventional diapers. The concept shows how a two-part modular structure consisting of a water-soluble and a reusable element offers an exciting new product design solution.
