Font
The concise airport and pictogram fonts were developed for the Berlin Brandenburg Airport in accordance with the design attributes we defined: clean and classic, but with a surprising lightness. The tapers on font links provide clarity, the diagonal cuts and “flight shapes” offer lightness and distinction. To root the font in its local context, the special “tz” ligature of Berlin street signs is also used. The BER family consists of sans serif fonts in various weights, fonts for use on screens and signage, office fonts and web fonts as well as an Antiqua series. The extensive range of pictograms contains more than 100 symbols.
