With Bering -3° (L) Nordisk created a new generation of sleeping bags. Its revolutionary BlackYarn fabric has ideal properties. Its core fiber is a blend of nylon and polyester coated with shape-retentive, insulating carbon particles, which improve its tensile strength while minimizing weight. Due to the light sensitivity of carbon, the fabric absorbs heat, accumulates body heat inside the sleeping bag and stores it longer the cooling curve slows down significantly, the moisture transport is being optimized. Hence the fabric does not only encase the functional filling material, but also contributes actively to the isolation of the sleeping bag.
