Health and well-being specialist Beurer wanted to add a wing for around 100 employees to its site at the heart of a bustling residential area in Ulm. Beurer is an expert in the design and manufacturing of medical, beauty and well-being products, and it was vital that the firm’s expertise in these areas was reflected in both the building’s exterior form and interior design. Rather than stand out like a provocative solitaire, it was stipulated that the new building should blend harmoniously and unpretentiously into its residential surrounds and offer a modern interpretation of the office buildings built on the site in the 50s, 60s and 70s.
