An examination of the methods, the resulting works, the surrounding fields and other phenomena related to graphic design: This publication is a compendium of the work of students from Fons Hickmann's class. Essays and statements describe the view from the outside while an interview with the professor provides a look behind the scenes. Techniques and processes have been analyzed, sources of inspiration identified and references established in different contexts of graphic design. According to Hickmann's credo "Graphic design is the first interdisciplinary art form", this publication shows how intelligent design solutions were developed between 2001 and 2007.
