Loggerhead Tools LLC introduces an innovative, new-to-the-world self-adjusting wrench. The 8 Bionic Wrench (20.32 cm) hand tool is a patented hybrid of conventional wrenches and pliers. One 8 Bionic Wrench does the job of a whole set of tools (fits metric sizes 11-20 mm and SAE 7/16 to 3/4 inch). Two more body sizes, a 6 (fits metric sizes 7-14 mm and SAE 1/4 to 9/16 inch) and a 10 (metric sizes 19-30 mm and SAE 3/4 to 1-1/4 inch) will be introduced in 2006. As the user squeezes the ergonomic handles, six steel jaws converge radially in a self-energizing grasp of the fastener. The force is applied on all sides evenly and wont damage the corners because the tool grips the flats of the fastener, distributing the forces. Even a nut or bolt with rounded corners can be removed or installed with the Bionic Wrench.
