Biosponge is a kitchen sponge made from terrafibre hemp and biological seeds. When you start using Biosponge, the embedded seeds begin to absorb water and germinate into green plants after one to two weeks. The seed germination reminds people to replace it with a new sponge, thus avoiding bacterial growth. The sponge is 100% biodegradable and compostable, so can be added to garden soil to help break up clay soils and increase water absorption.
This is a very simple, clear and friendly design concept for a daily kitchen product. This concept is both practical and stimulates philosophical thought about resource use, health and recycling.
