We wanted to design a watch for blind people so they can tell the time by “feel”, rather than always having to ask someone. This watch indicates the time by pressing pinpoints into your skin. As the pointer passes one circle after the other, the pinpoints press into the skin with circular waves, allowing blind people to tell the time much in the same way that seeing people do. This watch for the blind exhibits a simple design and fashion with fluid lines. The dots represent 12 hours. When the pointer passes, the dots will rise and fall, pressing directly on the skin. The materials used are rubber and metal, both of which are kind to the skin.
