The main objective of the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R is to honor the heady racing success of the BMW 3.0 CSL. Every detail of this Hommage car harks back to the successful 1975 racing machine, but all the details have since been updated and technically interpreted in a modern design language. The perfect communication between driver and car is one crucial aspect of creating the optimum racing car. Seamless driver integration is achieved by extrapolating the driver’s focus beyond the interior’s geometric form. The designers started with the driver’s helmet, racing suit and seat before moving on to the interior’s lines and surfaces.
