Lightweight design installation

In the BMW Museum an exhibition on leightweight carbon took place from februar to july 2014. In the center was a "tensegrity" installation with the intension to make lightweight design visible and tangible. The installation shows how esthetically and at the same time stable these CFRP components are. The total weight oft the installation was only about 40 kg. The globally unique structure rises 8 m in height, consists of 18 carbon parts and stands free on the floor. For the first time worldwide the BMW CFK-Tensegrity turned slowly on its axis and so offered the viewers an exciting game of ever-changing shapes and light reflections.
