The R 1200 RT continues BMWs tradition in touring bikes. It is the successor to the popular R 1150 RT and even surpasses the standards that this bike set during its reign. The R 1200 RT provides the rider with optimised wind and weather protection, excellent ergonomics, a generous amount of storage space and a long list of luxury features, resulting in a dynamic and comfortable ride for two. The design of the body emphasises simultaneously a new sports feel that is unexpected in this class and the comfort of optimum wind and weather protection, as expected from BMW. The height-adjustable windshield is only one of the features of the newly developed body, which was optimised in a wind tunnel.
