The fully autonomous tandem roller Robomag can be used completely independently in a defined work area. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive safety system and sensory environment recognition to prevent collisions. The tandem roller travels autonomously under the control of Bomag’s well-known Asphalt Manager 2, which provides intelligent active monitoring and control of compaction power. The vehicle solves the problem of a lack of skilled operating personnel and also adds more digital transparency to the work process. The vehicle also ensures greater health and safety for the ground crew and when manned by an operator, as well as increased efficiency, and less negative environmental impact.
