BR-163: Progress for whom?

Direction and visual identity for documentary.

We were invited by the NGO Animal Protection Worldwide to script, direct, post-produce and create the visual identity for the documentary BR 163 - Progress for whom? which deals with the destructive environmental impact of the highway along its 1,200 kilometers between Sinop (MT) and Santarém (PA). Under the guise of the concept of "progress", the highway's driving activity - the industrial agricultural model - promotes a socio-environmental disaster affecting traditional communities and the environment as a whole, destroying wildlife and its habitat.
