Space Design (Condominiums and Serviced Apartment)

In this project, we aimed to fuse Japanese and Indonesian cultures. Since both Indonesia and Japan, being island nations, have traditionally used wood and earth in their living spaces, we reinterpreted “wood and earth” as “vertical latticework and plaster materials.” We sought to create timeless value unaffected by trends, alongside the changing expressions born from the passage of time, light, and shifting perspectives. A key aspect of this design concept is restoring a human-centered sense of “calm” amidst the bustle of a developing city. To achieve this, we prioritized creating “transitional spaces” that encourage a mental shift.
