Bringing in the Wine

The bar name "Bringing in the Wine" is a reference to Chinese classical poetry and sets the theme of Chinese culture and architecture as key design elements in this interior. The space relies on classic Chinese furniture and a generous use of vermilion, the signature color in China. The designers were able to source recycled and refurbished vintage Chinese-style vermilion doors, window grills, and wooden double doors for this project, which harmoniously fuse together the contemporary Western and traditional Eastern elements in the design.
