Built-in Air Purifier

Automotive air purifier

Royal Philips Electronics N. V.

The new Philips Built-in Air purifier is a high efficiency automotive air purifier (AAP) used in-car to eliminate airborne particulates (smoke, dust, and pollen), gaseous pollutants (mainly formaldehyde, benzene and other VOCs (volatile organic compounds)) and germs (bacteria, viruses). The device is safely built into the arm rest between the front passenger seats where it is operating on twelve volt. The AAP is equipped with a sensor unit to measure the concentration of dust particles, which will be used as an indication of air quality. The air quality indicator shows red, yellow and blue light indicating high, moderate or low dust concentrations.
