Bull Carrier

Motorised Descend and Lifting Unit

The Bull Carrier is a lifting unit designed to help telecom site technicians aka “Tower Dogs” to manage equipment and tools in Telecom Towers. In addition to this, the system incorporates a controlled descent mechanism for use when lowering an injured person down from the mast. The design is compact and fits into the existing rail of a Telecom Tower. In case of injury, the system has a specialized pin lock that has to be physically pulled to activate the controlled fall procedure and lower a person down to safety.

"The project analyzes the work of telecoms site technicians and addresses the main pain points of that work. The design concept translates these findings into an appealing product solution, which meets the technicians' needs."
