The B&W PV1D subwoofer was designed in the shape of a bubble – the natural way of containing internal pressures, avoiding corners and edges. The tremendous air pressures are dispersed evenly around a rigid, continuous shell, reducing unwanted vibrations. The esthetics of the design was considered to achieve a clean and elegant appearance. Functionality and style are uncompromised. The symmetrical mounting of its twin opposing drive units keeps the subwoofer perfectly balanced. The ultra stiff and space efficient pressure die cast structural hemispheres provide amazing control and performance at extremely low frequencies.
