Casa Ipanema is located in Rio de Janeiro’s Ipanema neighborhood. The ground floor serves as a kind of passageway that integrates the house into the street. The Portuguese mosaics sidewalk invades the space and covers the back wall, which is illuminated by natural light. The pieces that make up the décor have been both purchased and donated by neighbors. The balcony also acts as a cultural space: cultural and artistic events. As such, users become co-creators of new experiences, allowing the Ipanema House to be in constant reinvention.
