Picture book

In Helmut Hirler's panoramic photographs, legendary Spanish castles appear mysterious and somber as though they had fallen out of time. Shot on infrared film, the black-and-white images were created in the course of several motorcycle journeys which took the photographer through most of Spain. We chose a format of 50 x 23 cm for this volume. The book is opened from the bottom up, with the photograph taking up the entire breadth of the lower page. On the upper page, you will find detailed descriptions of the Castillos.
