Catalog

This catalog was published on the occasion of the exhibition: INK – Chinese Contemporary Ink, held at the Kunsthalle Göppingen. Ink has been an important medium in the long history of traditional Chinese painting, a symbol of China's literati as well as the aesthetic inclinations of the Chinese people over the centuries. Since ancient times, the Chinese believed that the single medium of ink and its limited palette could well represent this colorful world. The design of the catalog is an attempt to translate the spirit of contemporary Chinese ink works into a book form.
