Checkpoint NEO is an inventory management and loss prevention system for retail. NEO integrates multiple sensors to detect and process data relating to inventory control, customer count and system management. The design of the product architecture, form, and identity needed to balance the needs and preferences of diverse customer stakeholders. The NEO solution needed to have visual prominence to aid in deterring theft, balanced with an aesthetic that would complement a wide range of environments. The design identity is rooted in pure geometric forms with a balance of curves and defined edges to convey sophistication and technical precision.
