China Music Island

Jiangyin, in Jiangsu Province of China, is home to about 70 orchestras, 30 music schools and nine institutions for Chinese folk music. Nowhere else in China is folk music given so much attention as here. Accordingly, Jiangyin will build a centre for traditional Chinese folk music at a former industrial site on an island in the city centre, generously equipped with concert halls, music schools, museums and corresponding institutions. The opening of the "China Music Island" is planned for 2022. These four posters document the cross-media dynamic appearance in order to inspire especially young people for folk music.
