Women Empowerment
MIDMAR
the project aimed to empower the women in the health sector of northwestern Syria by providing them with professional diplomas to become qualified community health workers CHWs and psychosocial support workers PSWs, and link them with the employers in northwestern Syria. By the end of the project, 70% of graduated women have been employed with an average monthly income of 350 USD (adequate for a decent life), so these job opportunities have encouraged them to stay inside Syria instead of migrating. on the other hand, spending the money in the local markets has also indirectly contributed to stabilizing many private-sector workers inside Syria
