Youku, as a top streaming platform in China, tries to enhance the efficiency and quality of production to provide sufficient and excellent works. As an important stage in production, shooting phase has several communication and cooperation challenges. 1. On-set and off-set monitoring and playback are inefficient, and shooting coordination is difficult. 2. Shooting phase quality is hard to control, as it takes a long wait to review video quality after shooting. 3. Every information is written on paper and transferred manually, resulting in misalignment. Accordingly, we designed CloudTake, an on set video and data management system.
