Residential Interiors

Codajás Residence updates an existing house without erasing its original architecture. The sculptural staircase, tall ceiling heights and solid peroba-docampo floors were preserved and reinterpreted through precise contemporary interventions. The strategy strengthens interior–exterior relationships, natural light and cross-ventilation. Rough colonial granite paving now coexists with hijau stone in the pool. Tropical gardens irrigated with harvested rainwater, reused custom joinery and low-energy lighting reinforce a sustainable approach based on adaptation, real use and extended material life cycles.
