Colo is a concept of sneakers designed to improve bad walking habits. It is aimed at children from 3 years old while their walking patterns are still getting stabilized. In addition to traditional treatment with orthopaedic insoles, Colo provides valuable feedback during the process. Main feature is the outer sole, made from sugarcane-based polymer. Its function is provided by material wear, so after regular use specific gradients are revealed. This helps to detect anomalies in kids’ foot development, either visually or via smartphone app. The app also generates data for custom 3D printed insole, which makes the treatment more effective.
