Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI)

This splint can be re-shaped by using hot water or hot air, and its new shape will become formed in less than three minutes at the room temperature. This new design shortens the usual fitting time to less than half. Once heated, the splint will change from a single color to different colors in different patterns during the softening process. Its interesting visual effects will take the user’s mind off his worries and reduce his resistance during the usage. This product not only diverts patient's attention but also shortens the usage time. It's an ideal design for both children and highly distressed patients.
