The unconcealed lead works as color-coding as well as distinguishing feature making colored paint coats redundant. The broad slope of the tip facilitates both extensive hatching and text highlighting. Only a transparent lacquer coating protects lead and fingertips from abrasion and preserves the grip-congenial natural wooden surface.
