To advertise his service as a DJ, Benjamin Brunn sent out the box COLOUR TRACKS. Four picture discs unroll the complete history of electronic music in 19 tracks. Each style of music is made visual through the allocation of a color. Every color stands for an individual genre, a track is as long as the strip of color is wide. Not only a technical challenge in terms of production but also the first time that the design of a vinyl record has been so precisely tailored to the music. All eight sides feature an individual color code – it is included in the booklet. After six months, Brunn was able to record a boost in DJ bookings of nearly 50%.
