Interactive objects

COM WAI TO is a group of interactive objects, designed to encourage communication, debate and the exchange of ideas while people wait for public transport. Next to two central objects, which are explained on the poster, floor signaling next to benches, ticket distributors and information signs motivates people to dive into social and political issues. This is an attempt to contribute to an inclusive bottom-up society in a playful way, redefining the most frequently used public space – public transport stations – and offering an incubator tool for NGOs and educational players.

JURY STATEMENT

"COM WAI TO" promotes social interaction in public transport stations in a beautiful, playful and engaging way, bringing color and communication to a typically monotonous space.

WINNER STATEMENT

We are very honored and see this award as an affirmation of the idea that design can be understood as a playful contribution to a better society. We want to thank especially Prof. Birgit Weller, who led us through this process and helped us find the right direction.
