Comma
Residential Interiors
SYCM-DESIGN
This project is a renovation of a single-story old house, with an interior area of 123 square meters. The comma symbolizes a "new start" and a "pause" for rest in life. Inspired by the homeowner's journey, the design uses grid paper imagery, weaving rectangular lines with white paint and teak, and incorporating slanted cabinets as the "comma." It retains transparency for natural light, using a minimalist approach to blend design aesthetics with grid paper imagery, creating a unique, style-free design chapter. Additionally, the design considers the family's shared memory of "elephant imagery," translating it into the house concept.
