Provision of Clean Drinking Water to poor Peoples
Water is a basic necessity, in many rural areas of District in Pakistan there is have no access to clean drinking water or even water as such. Women, young girls and children have to walk miles and miles to get water for drinking and other purposes. The level of underground water is very deep and poor people are unable to install the Hand Pumps, because this is a very expensive way for poor people to raise this source of drinking water due to lock of their income. RDO has initiated setting up of Community Hand Pumps Project in far off remote areas. Overall 235 Hand Pumps have been installed in different areas to meet clean water needs.
Without clean water there can be no healthy life.This project provides clean water to low-income and minority groups affected by rains and floods. People of socially excluded castes and ethnic groups are specifically targeted to receive benefits.
