The designer chose to fully open and integrate the cooking and dining areas as a token of respect to the cook. The kitchen was also designed to be easy to clean and use. It is much more than just a space for cooking and eating. It is conducive to reading, working, family entertainment, watching movies, drinking tea, and chatting. Thus, it is a space that generates new value – and retains old values.
