The COOLPIX AW100 is Nikons first waterproof, shock-proof, cold-resistant compact digital camera. This high-performance model offers advanced basic functions as well as convenient features for outdoor shooting, including GPS support, an electronic compass and a map display. Whats more, some settings can be selected by simply shaking the camera, making it easier to operate in a wide variety of outdoor situations. A rotating knob has been adopted for the battery chamber / memory card slot, enhancing the cameras durability and practicality. Additionally, the COOLPIX AW100 comes equipped with a filter attachment which supports a variety of lens filters that expand shooting possibilities.
