Crop Protector
Agricultural aid
Crop Protector is a planting stake that protects rice seedlings from damage by wind and snails. The shell is made from straw fiber, which stabilizes the root and prevents stalk breakage in strong wind, while the top is made from rice husk and tea seed meal, which act as a snail repellent. These three materials derived from agricultural waste are also rich in nutrients, and benefit the growing plant as they gradually decompose into the soil. The Crop Protector is designed for transplanting rice seedlings or for mechanical transplanting, meeting different needs in different areas.
Crop Protector is a very well executed concept that solves a pressing problem. While the product may need some adaptation for use in high-volume plantations, the value of the concept is very high.
