Digital radiography
These flat-panel detectors for digital radiography feature real-time detection of the amount of exposure and provide assistance in automatic exposure control. Unlike in past imaging, this is now available even in portable units. Indented grips on the back, tested for usability, are designed to be easy to hold with one's fingers relatively relaxed, even when the unit is wrapped in protective plastic. Additionally, with rounded corners and sides, the panel can be picked up easily when lying flat, or inserted between the patient and a bed.
