CYNARA

Office chair

Okamura Corporation

CYNARA fulfills the functions required for task seating and boasts overwhelming lightness. The chair's lighter weight translates into fewer CO2 emissions: weight reduction throughout the manufacturing process is linked to energy reduction and reduces environmental impact. Stretching the mesh over the frame reduces weight and achieves strength. The chair has a simple minimalist reclining mechanism with the appropriate reaction force so that reclining naturally follows the body. The uniform color scheme throughout the chair makes it ideal for ABW. To achieve weight reduction, the designers made a whole range of changes to design concepts typically used in conventional task seating.
